Collection, Management, and Use of Personally Identifying Information (PII)

UVO TAG is a system that provides a means by which you can tag your property items in such a way that property finders have the ability to contact you if/when they find such property items. As such, UVO TAG provides you with the ability to enter personally identifying information (PII), including your name, phone number(s), email address, home address, and other information. Whether or not you enter this information is entirely up to you, and we do not collect this information surreptitiously, in any way.

Whatever PII you do provide is entirely under your control. You have full control over the addition, modification, and deletion of such information through the Settings panel in your online account. Furthermore, for each of your property tags, you also have full control over which PII, if any, is made available to finders of your property items. For example, you could configure a property tag to show nothing more than a message to the finder, or you could configure it to provide selected contact information (PII). You can also make tag configuration changes at any time, through your online account.

In addition to potential direct contact from property finders, the UVO TAG service itself can also transmit SMS/email alert notifications directly to you in the event of a property tag scan by property finders. This ensures that, even in the event that a property finder does not contact you, you can still be notified of the fact that the property tag scan occurred, and you can be notified of the date, time, and location of the scan event. However, you have full control over whether or not you choose to enable such alert notifications from UVO TAG to your cell phone or email account.

In any case, we use the PII that you explicitly provide solely for the purpose of achieving these stated objectives of the UVO TAG service - to enable property finders to contact you, and to alert you of property tag scanning activity by property finders. We do not use any of the PII for marketing, sales, or advertising purposes, with the sole exception that we may use your email address for marketing purposes as long as you permit such use.

We do not share your PII with any 3rd party whatsoever.

In terms of security, the UVO TAG service is deployed using 3rd-party world-class top-tier cloud platform service providers, and it therefore enjoys the security benefits that these service providers can provide. The service utilizes strict firewall policies, highly restrictive administrative access policies, and other best practices to protect unintended exposure of your PII.

Collection and Use of Non-PII

In order to defray the cost of operating the UVO TAG service, we may present advertisements to users of this service. We may utilize contemporary web analytics tools (such as Google analytics) in order to collect, receive, and use non-PII data for the purpose of customizing such advertisements and to modify other aspects of service behavior. To accomplish this, we may store and retrieve cookies on your device for ad customization, management, and measurement. We also utilize cookies for service control and management. We may also utilize 3rd party ad technology providers to accomplish these goals.

Limitations

Notwithstanding the above, UVO TAG reserves the right to retain and utilize any information, including PII, that represents (a) any attempts to penetrate or undermine the service in any way, or (b) evidence of an unintended use, illegal use, or criminal activity.

Furthermore, UVO TAG reserves the right to view user account information for the purposes of providing direct customer support, when requested by a customer.
